KAA-MACC Event: Volunteers Needed!

KAA-MaCC 11th Anniversary & Hall of Fame Inductions

On October 5, 2024, the Kannapolis African American Museum and Cultural Center (KAA-MaCC) will mark an incredible milestone – its 11th Anniversary & Hall of Fame Inductions. This monumental event will celebrate the lifetime achievements of seven extraordinary women from Cabarrus and Rowan counties. These remarkable leaders will be honored for their contributions to the community, their groundbreaking achievements, and the lasting legacies they’ve built.

And we need YOU to help make this evening unforgettable!

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering with KAA-MaCC for this event means more than just lending a hand – it’s about becoming part of something bigger. You’ll be a critical piece of a historic event that recognizes and uplifts African American excellence, culture, and history.

This is your opportunity to:

  • Be part of history: Help us honor community icons whose contributions have shaped the cultural landscape of our region.
  • Give back: Your time and energy will make a tangible difference, helping us create an event that reflects the spirit of excellence and community.
  • Expand your network: Engage with influential leaders, innovators, and like-minded individuals passionate about culture, history, and making a positive impact.
  • Gain hands-on experience: From event planning to guest management, you'll gain invaluable experience in event coordination and cultural programming.

At KAA-MaCC, we believe in the power of community, and that’s why volunteers are the heart of our events. With your help, this event will not only be a celebration of Black heritage but also a night of unity, empowerment, and inspiration.

Volunteer Roles: How You Can Get Involved

We have several roles for volunteers leading up to and on the day of the event. Whether you’re skilled in guest relations, love setting up for grand events, or prefer to assist behind the scenes, we’ve got a spot for you! Here’s how you can contribute: event setup crew (pre-event), guest registration & greeters, silent auction assistants, ushers & guest assistants, and event breakdown team (post-event).

Why You Matter

The success of this evening depends on passionate and dedicated individuals like you. Your volunteer work will help create an atmosphere of excellence and ensure that this celebration is a night to remember for everyone involved. Imagine being part of a celebration that not only honors the past but also inspires future generations. Your participation will help us tell the stories of the women who have shaped our history and continue to pave the way for others. Every task, big or small, plays a vital role in making this event one that the honorees and attendees will cherish forever.

How to Sign Up

Are you ready to join us for an inspiring and impactful evening? Signing up is easy! Simply fill out our Volunteer Registration Form with your availability and preferred roles. No matter your experience level, we have a role for you. Submit your completed form to info@kaa-macc.org no later than September 20, 2024.

Be Part of Something Special

The KAA-MaCC 11th Anniversary & Hall of Fame Inductions will be a night to remember, and you can be at the heart of it. Volunteering with us isn’t just about helping at an event – it’s about making a difference, celebrating our rich history, and building a community.

Come share this moment with us and take pride in knowing you played a key role in honoring the trailblazers of our time. We look forward to welcoming you to the team and creating a night that will be talked about for years to come!
